Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager to lead our team of software engineers in delivering high-quality Linux kernels for the Ubuntu Linux distribution.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in leading technical teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and ensuring timely delivery of products. They will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, providing technical guidance, and contributing to strategic planning.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Lead a distributed team of software engineers in developing and maintaining Linux kernels
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other components
    • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
    • Mentor and guide junior engineers to help them grow professionally
    • Contribute to strategic planning and goal-setting for the team
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
    • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Linux kernel development
    • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing technical teams
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Possess strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
