Linux Kernel Specialist

The Silicon Optimisation Team is seeking a seasoned Linux kernel specialist to lead their efforts in developing silicon-optimised variants of the Ubuntu Linux kernel.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with distributed teams to integrate silicon vendor support into the Linux kernel.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in the kernel reported by partners, customers, and the community.
  • Take responsibility for delivering distinct silicon-optimised variants of the Ubuntu Linux kernel.
  • Improve tooling and automation for kernel delivery and testing.
Key Requirements:
  • Significant programming ability in C.
  • Strong grasp of device drivers, BSP's, and other aspects of hardware-level system engineering.
  • Solid background with git.
  • Understanding of operating system kernel fundamentals.
