About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Thales Australia. As a key member of our Protected Vehicles (PRV) business, you will play a critical role in driving superior commercial management and leading the contract management team to deliver key contracts and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial management outcomes for the PRV business, ensuring optimal commercial and financial outcomes.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Identify commercial and contract risks and advise on mitigation strategies to ensure optimal commercial and financial outcomes.
  • Provide legal and commercial leadership on high-risk, high-value contracts and projects to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and Thales's internal policies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business.
  • 8-12 years of experience in commercial management or a mix of legal experience/practice and commercial experience.
  • Strong commercial knowledge with a proven track record in a Bid/Capture environment and delivering project outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent understanding and skill in contract law, contract drafting, and dispute management.
