The role of Clinical Support Specialist in Nursing and Midwifery is to provide technical services in clinical teaching and simulation facilities. The incumbent will ensure seamless operations by applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical expertise and support to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and facilitate simulated learning for students across the disciplines of Nursing and Midwifery.
- Deliver training sessions on the use of simulation equipment and clinical learning facilities and oversee their operation to ensure safe and effective use.
- Supervise casual team members as required, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
You will have strong interpersonal skills, enabling clear communication whether verbally or in writing. You will thrive independently and as part of a team, using initiative to adapt to change and new situations with confidence.
Requirements:- Completion of a relevant degree with experience in the provision of clinical activities in support of teaching in a health-related discipline. An alternate combination of knowledge, training, and experience would be considered.
- Demonstrated commitment to utilising simulation methodology in learning and its ability to transform education.
- Ability to acquire knowledge of policies, guidelines, and legislation relevant to clinical spaces and technical services including health and safety requirements.
