Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to play a critical role in shaping the future of automotive in Australia.

The Data Engineer will work collaboratively with technology squads, ETL Engineers, and the Head of Infrastructure to create flexible, scalable, and efficient data models that cater to diverse analytical and processing requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create data models that balance cost, performance, and compliance, integrating cloud-native data solutions with legacy systems.
  • Design systems that adapt to schema drift, late-arriving data, or inconsistent input format.
  • Implement multi-layered security measures including encryption, access controls, and continuous monitoring to protect sensitive data.
  • Apply infrastructure as code principles and tools like Terraform to manage cloud resources programmatically, ensuring reproducible deployments and consistent environments.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data modelling, aggregation, and business intelligence.
  • Expert-level SQL skills for complex data manipulation, querying, and aggregation.
