We are seeking an exceptional results-driven leader to fill the role of Store Manager at our Pottery Barn store in Chadstone, Melbourne. This is a permanent, full-time position (76 hours per fortnight) on a rotating 4-week roster with full weekend availability required.

About the Role

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment within our People-First culture.
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates to build a talent pipeline.
  • Coach, train, and motivate your team through ongoing programs in sales, customer service, and product knowledge development.
  • Empower your management team to take on increased levels of responsibility.
  • Maintain store operations, including sales, contest, and payroll goals.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Maintain and uphold store standards—visuals, cleanliness, signage, safety, etc.
  • Manage inventory levels, cash control, minimizing losses, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Create a positive work environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity, aligning with our People-First Philosophy.

Requirements

  • Prior retail management experience, preferably in homewares and/or specialty retail.
  • Results-oriented leadership skills, passion for owning business decisions, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Influential coaching, mentoring, motivating, inspiring, and growing teams to meet and exceed goals.
  • Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, thinking outside the box to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • A proven ability to manage a team to exceed sales goals while meeting payroll targets.
  • Strong talent identification, team creation, training, developing, and retaining abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be mobile in-store and back-of-house areas, standing for extended periods.
  • Climbing ladders and using equipment safely.
  • Lifting medium to large items up to 30 kg, utilizing proper equipment and safety techniques.
