Health, Safety and Environmental Lead Advisor

The successful candidate will lead the development of health, safety and environmental protocols tailored to our operations.

This role requires a strong understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice and industry standards. You will conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents and advise on HSE considerations throughout the asset lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing HSE protocols;
  • Conducting risk assessments and incident investigations;
  • Advising on HSE considerations;
  • Mentoring teams and leading toolbox talks;
  • Partnering with stakeholders to embed a proactive safety culture.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Australian citizenship with a Defence security clearance;
  • An AQF Level 4 qualification in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Risk Management or a transferable engineering-related qualification;
  • Previous experience in a similar role within Defence or other high-risk industries;
  • Strong understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and standards;
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and incident investigation methodologies;
  • Competent in using HSEQ management systems;
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
