Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Commodities Data Specialist to join our team at Macquarie.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that financial markets data is accurately represented and maintained in accordance with global regulations and internal policies. This includes engaging with stakeholders to determine data requirements, identifying and resolving issues, designing solutions, and coordinating testing and implementation of system and process changes.

You will also review current control frameworks to develop and implement robust controls, navigate and interpret a wide range of data sources, and complete periodic reporting tasks, analysis of reporting, and use system validation and exception or control reports to ensure output produces complete, accurate, valid and relevant data consistent with regulations and internal policies.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have 3-6 years' experience within a finance or accounting role, with the ability to detect breaks, anomalies and issues pertaining to reporting. You will also have tertiary qualifications, preferably in Finance or Accounting, with a high level of academic achievement and knowledge of financial services or financial markets products.

You should be highly numerate with an ability to critically analyze, interrogate, interpret and draw conclusions from multiple data sources, with an aptitude for identifying issues and determining solutions. Additionally, you should have strong Microsoft Office suite skills and the ability to convey complex and technical requirements to both peers and senior colleagues.
