Job Description

Eight Homes is seeking a seasoned construction leader to oversee our Geelong/West construction team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of 4–6 construction supervisors, fostering professional growth and high performance.
  • Monitoring and updating job status in real time, adjusting forecasts and site start schedules to optimize resource allocation.
  • Developing, tracking, and reporting on regional monthly budget—including claims, settlements, and Extra to Order (ETOs)—working with supervisors to maximize build efficiency.
  • Ensuring all warranty and progress claims are accurately documented and processed in a timely manner.
  • Building and maintaining effective partnerships with suppliers and trade contractors, acting as the primary escalation point for performance, quality, or delivery issues.
  • Aligning trade and supplier allocations with project schedules, closely monitoring performance metrics to drive consistency in build quality and efficiency.
  • Liaising with supervisors to identify and resolve on-site issues swiftly, ensuring contractual obligations and building standards are upheld or surpassed.
  • Minimizing ETS through proactive planning, cost-effective problem solving, and close coordination with design and procurement teams.
  • Reviewing and resolving escalated client concerns quickly, maintaining a customer-first mindset and preserving brand reputation.
  • Analyzing client feedback and Net Promoter Scores (NPS), partnering with managers and supervisors to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conducting final quality assurance inspections prior to client walkthroughs, ensuring every detail aligns with company standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A passionate leader with proven construction management experience in residential or commercial construction, managing multi-site operations.
  • Strong financial acumen, with a track record of meeting or exceeding budget targets.
  • Safety First mindset.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with suppliers, trades, clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in construction forecasting, scheduling tools, and claims management.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a relentless focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
