Risk Consultant Opportunity

Seeking an experienced Risk Consultant to drive the implementation and continuous improvement of a Risk Management Framework across an organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To identify, analyse, evaluate and manage risk exposures.
  • To support the ongoing management of risks and controls, including tracking actions and addressing control deficiencies or inefficiencies.
  • Provide periodic assurance over key controls to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to business improvement initiatives that support a mature and proactive risk culture.
  • Assist with maintaining relevant policies and procedures, as well as the risk management information system.
  • Deliver risk management support, training and education across the business.
  • Prepare and contribute to appropriate reporting for leadership teams and audit committees.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risk.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide risk management frameworks.
  • Experience in risk assessment, mitigation and remediation strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Drafting and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Sound understanding of private health insurance regulatory requirements or experience in highly regulated industries.
  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a risk-related role.
