The Opportunity

Are you a pragmatic risk and compliance leader who thrives on building systems, not just maintaining them? Do you excel at translating complex risks into a clear, actionable framework that drives strategic decision-making?

We are representing a dynamic and fast-growing leader in the industrial services sector. As they scale, they have created a pivotal new role for a Manager of Enterprise Risk & Compliance to design, build, and embed their entire enterprise risk and assurance framework from the ground up. This is not a theoretical governance role. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on manager to "stand up" a best-in-class function, working directly with the C-suite to shape the company's strategic resilience. If you are a generalist who is as comfortable designing risk policy as you are building a Power BI dashboard, we want to hear from you.

• The Enterprise Risk Framework: You will be the architect and owner of the company\'s risk management DNA. You\'ll design, implement, and manage a pragmatic ERM framework (aligned with ISO 31000) that adds genuine strategic value.
• A Modern Compliance Program: Go beyond a simple checklist. You\'ll manage a forward-looking compliance program that anticipates regulatory shifts across corporate, environmental, safety, and modern slavery obligations.
• Executive-Level Insights: You will translate complex risk data into clear, insightful dashboards and reports for the Executive Leadership Team and the Board\'s Risk & Compliance Committee, directly informing strategic decisions.
• A Targeted Assurance Function: You\'ll design and lead a targeted internal audit and assurance program that focuses on what truly matters, verifying that critical controls are effective across the business.
• A Proactive Risk Culture: As a key leader, you will champion risk-aware decision-making, providing the training, tools, and expert guidance to empower managers and staff across the organization.

• A Proven "Builder": You have demonstrable experience establishing or significantly maturing an enterprise risk or compliance framework, ideally in a fast-paced, growing business.
• 8-15 years of progressive experience in risk, compliance, or internal audit. You\'ve seen what "good" looks like in larger organisations but are still passionate about the hands-on work of building it yourself.
• Broad Domain Knowledge: Your experience spans multiple risk domains, including financial controls, operational processes, technology risk, and ESG (particularly climate-related disclosures like TCFD/ISSB).
• Skilled in using tools to create clarity. Experience developing risk dashboards (e.g., in Power BI or similar) is highly desirable.
• You possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the credibility to engage and influence senior executives and board members.

• Attractive Remuneration: An excellent package is on offer, $200,000 - $230,000.
• This role reports to a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, giving you a direct line of sight and influence on the company\'s strategic direction.
