Job Overview
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, visitors, and property. This will involve patrolling premises regularly to identify potential security threats, monitoring and controlling access to the building, and responding effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
  • Liaising with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed will also be an essential aspect of this role.
  • The Security Officer will be required to provide high-level customer service and assist staff and visitors in any security-related matter.
  • Conducting routine security checks and submitting incident reports as appropriate will also be an important part of this position.

Security and Health & Safety

  • The successful candidate will be expected to look out for and report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site. They will also be required to stay alert to threats or changes within the work environment and take action to reduce disruption, loss, or damage.
  • Maintaining professional conduct in difficult situations and challenging customers will also be a key aspect of this role.
  • Completing accurate and detailed notebook entries after incidents will also be an essential requirement.

Requirements

  • Previous Security Experience: An SIA Licence is required; SD Licence preferred. A Full UK driving licence is also required.
