What You'll Learn

Prepare and apply chemicals for pest, weed, and disease control, ensuring proper transportation and storage.Install and maintain drainage and pressurised irrigation systems, including operation and upkeep.Operate various machinery and equipment required for maintenance tasks.Improve soil quality for gardens and turf, promoting healthy plant nutrition and optimal growth.Control weeds, pests, diseases, and disorders affecting plants and turf areas.Renovate and construct sports turf facilities.Safety protocols and equipment operation.

About The Role

As an apprentice, you may not have any prior experience in the sports turf management field, but you are a proven hard worker and are motivated and keen to learn new skills. Your can-do attitude will underpin your success in this role.

You are mature and able to deal with people from all walks of life.

You already have, or are prepared to obtain, a white card. Although not an absolute requirement, if you have a current driver's license, this will be looked upon favourably.
