Financial Insights Manager

The Finance function plays a critical role in driving the bank's strategic priorities, including trust, resilience, and capital generation.

The Regulatory Reporting Crew is responsible for guiding and overseeing the delivery of all capital and reporting changes, including system upgrades and enhancements, risk modelling updates, new or variations to products, and changes to internal and external reporting.

We oversee the following key areas:

• Regulatory Compliance to the capital and regulatory reporting standards;
• Maintenance of the capital and reporting engines and system processes;
• Business changes impacting capital and reporting, such as new products, system changes, and unique transaction types;
• Business engagement, readiness, and technology coordination of APRA changes impacting capital and regulatory reporting;
• Leveraging of Group Strategic Platforms to deliver new regulatory capital and reporting requirements.

This role reports directly to the Executive Manager, Regulatory Reporting Change.

You will be part of the Regulatory Reporting Change team, working with industry-leading Finance and IT professionals to implement various projects and regulatory changes. This includes regulator-driven changes (e.g., new or changed regulatory returns) and supporting internal projects that impact regulatory reporting (e.g., new product launches, system changes).

As a Manager in this team, you will be expected to perform tasks consistent with CBA's Values and People Capabilities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and implement new business and regulatory requirements;
• Utilize tools like SQL, Ab Initio, Tableau, and Alteryx to analyze issues in the regulatory reporting process;
• Perform data analysis and visualization of large datasets;
• Drive continuous improvements to reporting processes and solutions;
• Lead the use of analytic techniques to drive business insights and enable data-driven decisions across regulatory reporting;
• Champion productivity and process improvement across the team, fostering collaboration, coaching, and recognition;
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder engagement by collaborating with business units;
• Work with Regulatory Reporting, technology, and business stakeholders to resolve defects and identify enhancements;
• Support the Regulatory Reporting team by reviewing regulatory reporting assumptions and logic.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory reporting or a related field;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks;
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting standards and regulations;
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools;
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
