As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving and supporting our Health and Safety programs, systems, and risks associated with operations for employees, patients, and visitors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that occupational health and safety policies, procedures, activities, and functions promote the achievement of organisational objectives and strategies that comply with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective Health and Safety programs and systems to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards and risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to promote a positive and engaged safety culture.
  • Analyse data and develop reports to provide recommendations to senior management and executive.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Broad experience in H&S legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and standards.
  • Experience in promoting and leading a positive and engaged safety culture through interactions, behavioural safety programs, and assurance activities in a large, multi-campus organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
