About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Horner Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our safety initiatives and ensuring a safe work environment throughout our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing OHSE policies and procedures
  • Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses
  • Ensuring compliance with OHSE legislation and standards
  • Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Building collaborative relationships for WHS management
  • Providing OHSE training and support to staff
  • Monitoring and reporting on OHSE performance and improvements
  • Promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Coordinating emergency response plans
  • Collaborating with management on OHSE initiatives
  • Overseeing OHSE audits and contractor management
  • Managing workplace injuries and claims
  • Fostering proactive safety behaviours and leadership
  • Supporting HSE policy deployment and risk management
  • Maintaining a consultative approach to HSE development
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in OHSE or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in OHSE, preferably in automotive or manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of OHSE legislation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in Work Cover, incident, and hazard management
What We Offer

The successful candidate will be required to travel to all Motor One sites, including interstate, to conduct regular OHSE audits and implement new processes and procedures. We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $160,000, plus superannuation, and a Monday - Friday schedule with no weekend work.
