Health and Safety Advisor Role

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our People and Culture team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in driving and supporting the Health and Safety programs, systems, and risks associated with operations for employees, patients, and visitors of Latrobe Regional Health.

Key responsibilities include ensuring occupational health and safety policies, procedures, activities, and functions promote the achievement of organisational objectives and strategies that comply with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and standards.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related field, broad experience in H&S legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and standards, and experience in promoting and leading a positive and engaged safety culture.

They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, with a proactive and innovative working style.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related field
  • Broad experience in H&S legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and standards
  • Experience in promoting and leading a positive and engaged safety culture
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
