Health Promotion Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Health Promotion Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support public health priorities by working closely with the Public Health team.
- Develop and deliver community-based health education, promotion, and prevention activities across the IUIH Network.
- Engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, sharing key health information and encouraging healthy choices.
- Identify existing health promotion materials for program use.
- Host health promotion days with health services and community organisations.
- Promote Community Controlled Health Services and engage community members in health promoting screening initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander male.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence (QLD).
- Current Criminal History Check.
- Valid Blue Card.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health, or other relevant field.
