We are seeking a skilled Patient Services Specialist to join our team.
As a Patient Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for all patients.
- You will be the first point of contact for patients, answering phone calls, and directing them to the appropriate area.
- You will be responsible for checking patients in and out accurately and efficiently.
- You will verify and update patient demographics, obtain and enter patient insurance information, and schedule patients according to clinic protocol and guidelines.
Requirements:
- You must have a High School education or GED.
- You must have at least one year of experience in a healthcare-related field.
- You must have basic computer skills and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate area.
- Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and update patient demographics.
- Obtain and enter patient insurance information.
- Schedule patients according to clinic protocol and guidelines.
- Prepare charts and print encounter tickets prior to patient visit.
- Confirm appointments and document responses in EMR.
- Collect outstanding balances, co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
