Senior Head Chef Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Head Chef to fill a critical position in our culinary department. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong culinary skills, experience managing kitchen teams and delivering high-quality meals in fast-paced environments.

  • Culinary Leadership:
  • Lead a team of chefs to deliver exceptional cuisine and maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Develop and implement menus that meet client requirements and preferences, ensuring menu offerings are consistently fresh, seasonal and appealing
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient service delivery, minimize waste and optimize resource usage
  • Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment by enforcing HACCP principles and adhering to workplace safety protocols
  • Requirements:
  • 5+ years of cumulative chef experience, preferably in large hotel or remote village environments with at least 3+ years of supervising and managing a team of chefs
  • Experience with ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food service, including bulk/batch cooking
  • Strong knowledge of commercial cookery principles, menu planning and cost control
  • Ability to create service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, as well as analyze financial reports and provide budgetary recommendations
  • Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications
