About the Role:

As an Operational Risk Specialist within our Business Bank, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's products and activities are appropriately managing existing and emerging risks. Your primary focus will be on operational risk management, providing advice and assurance to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify areas of risk concern and conduct deep dive reviews to ensure transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Undertake critical 'review and challenge' through active oversight of change initiatives, including performing assurance activities;
  • Provide expert advice on risk management, emerging risks, and better practice risk management, focusing on conduct risk, transaction processing risk, technology risk, cyber risk, and supplier risk;
  • Ensure compliance with Operational Risk Management Frameworks and promote a pragmatic approach to risk management;
  • Work collaboratively across teams to deliver positive customer outcomes aligned with CBA's values.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated commercial experience with exposure to product development, decommissioning, and remediation across Deposits, Payments, Merchant Acquiring, and Business Lending portfolios;
  • Technical skills and knowledge base in non-financial operational risk management (and Operational Risk Frameworks) with practical application;
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for managing multiple stakeholders and competing demands;
  • Strong teamwork focus with excellence in driving results and delivering customer satisfaction;
  • Excellent report writing skills.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience
