About the Role: As an Operational Risk Management Specialist at Macquarie, you will play a key role in forming an independent view of our specialist Operational Risk profiles to effect change in Non-Financial Risk Management culture across the organisation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight over new business initiatives to ensure material Operational Risks are identified and managed within our Cyber, Technology, Information Security and Supplier Risk Team.
  • Review and challenge the scope and outcome of business risk reporting, targeted assessments, significant incidents, key risk indications, project and assurance activities.
  • Develop and implement key risk management policies and contribute to projects to deliver our overall Operational Risk Strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate Operational Risks.

About the Team: You will be part of the Risk Management Group, an independent and centralised function responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to our material risks.

Your Qualifications:

  • Proven Operational Risk Management experience in a Line 1 or Line 2 capacity.
  • Prior experience in a control function, assurance or internal/external audit role, gained within a financial or professional services firm.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to uncover hidden insights and form an independent view of the risk profile across the organisation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
