Production Supervisor Job

The role of a Production Supervisor plays a vital part in bridging strategy and day-to-day execution on the production floor. This position is responsible for leading frontline teams to achieve operational goals while contributing to the factory's broader strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Execution:
    • Support the implementation of the factory's strategic goals by translating them into clear daily priorities and operational plans.
    • Identify improvement opportunities in line with site objectives and escalate insights to management for broader decision-making.
  • Operational Delivery:
    • Oversee daily production activities to ensure output, quality, labor efficiency, and delivery KPIs are met.
    • Deliver effective maintenance and monitoring of production KPIs: safety, quality, operational equipment effectiveness.
    • Develop and oversee all workforce and operational scheduling to ensure effective delivery of KPIs and adherence to procedures and standards.
    • Maintain accurate records for time, attendance, materials, and production progress.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure team compliance with OH&S policies.
    • Conduct routine safety briefings and audits; report and investigate incidents promptly.
  • People Management:
    • Lead by example and take full ownership of team performance, behaviors, and engagement.
    • Coach and develop Team Leaders and Operators, supporting capability building and succession planning.
    • Provide feedback through regular performance conversations and support team members' career progression.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead and sustain Lean initiatives such as 6S, visual management, and waste reduction.
    • Support problem-solving and root cause analysis to resolve quality and productivity issues.
