About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Hilton Worldwide, Inc. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Manage all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently delivered to our guests.
    • Implement and maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
    • Develop and implement efficient kitchen systems and procedures to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support staff development and growth.
  • Cost Control and Inventory Management
    • Monitor and control kitchen costs, including food, labor, and supplies, to ensure profitability and efficiency.
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Guest Service and Relations
    • Provide exceptional guest service and respond to guest feedback and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, colleagues, and other stakeholders to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications
    • Relevant culinary qualifications, such as a degree in culinary arts or a professional certification in food safety and hygiene.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
    • Proven track record of delivering exceptional food quality and service, with a focus on consistency and attention to detail.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver results.
