We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Governance Lead to join our team.

About the Role

The Clinical Governance Lead will provide expert clinical, strategic, operational and professional leadership and management for our organisation. They will operate as a key member of the leadership team and deliver service improvements that ensure safe, effective, person-centred care.

Duties

  • Be accountable for leading contemporary and comprehensive clinical governance systems, processes and outcomes, including patient safety, quality improvement, Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation, consumer feedback and risk management.
  • Develop, report on and evaluate clinical governance systems in partnership with the executive team to drive high quality practice and to ensure relevant legislative and other key performance indicators are met.
  • Coordinate, collaborate and engage with key clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Professional Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in work related to the areas of clinical care; medical sector, social services, and/or in relevant policy making agencies.
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience in coordination and management of a clinical risk program.
  • Conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills for managing conflicting priorities and developing successful recommendations and advice on policies and strategies.
  • Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration (essential).
  • Relevant understanding and experience in the delivery of Home Care Packages.
  • Experience using online care management systems.
  • Client-focused care and case management experience.
  • A practical understanding of the Aged Care sector and Quality Standards (essential).

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current Federal Police Clearance (not more than 12 months old) and international Police Check if you have lived overseas in the last 10 years.
