Job Title: Senior Bid Manager - Water Infrastructure

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the pre-contract phase of major water infrastructure projects across Australia.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bid Manager to lead our front-end bidding process for large-scale water infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing bid strategies that align with client expectations, commercial objectives, and technical capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive bid strategies for major water infrastructure bids, including panel and framework agreements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams comprising estimators, planners, engineers, legal, and commercial personnel.
  • Engage with clients, joint venture partners, and subcontractors during the pre-contract phase to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, client procurement strategies, and competitor activity in the water sector.
About You:
  • 10+ years of experience in pre-contracts, tendering, or commercial roles within the infrastructure or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of success in managing bids for large-scale water infrastructure projects, particularly within panel or alliance contracting environments.
  • Strong understanding of Australian water sector procurement processes and client expectations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercially astute with a strong grasp of contract law, risk management, and pricing strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
