Electrical Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Service Technician to provide consistent and accurate service, repair, and maintenance of commercial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend client sites for routine service, repairs, and maintenance requirements for commercial catering equipment.
  • Review daily work orders and plan your day to ensure all jobs are resolved and completed.
  • Provide an effective service by identifying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installation, and performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships through effective communication, attending to client needs, providing recommendations, and maintaining customer confidentiality.
  • Follow troubleshooting steps in line with policy and product requirements/manuals.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Maintain communication with the internal sales team and communicate sales and upsell opportunities to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Participate in product training.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualified electrician/gas plumber/refrigeration technician.
  • High focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Dynamic performer and achiever with a willingness to learn and grow your career.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Experience in Simpro preferred.
  • Driver's licence.
Benefits:
  • Negotiable rate $40-$50 per hour depending on experience.
  • Permanent position with paid overtime at penalty rates.
  • Tool of Trade vehicle.
  • On-call roster on a 6-week rotation.
  • $150 on-call allowance + payment per call-out as below:
  • Rate per call-out Monday to Saturday - time and a half for the first 3 hours and double time for the 4th hour (minimum) per call-out.
  • Rate per call-out Sunday and Public Holidays - double time for a minimum of 4 hours per call-out.
