We have a unique opportunity for a skilled Music Licensing Contract Specialist to join our team in the Asia Pacific region. This role will involve drafting and managing music-related templates and agreements, supporting regional marketing initiatives, and assisting teams with commercial deals, legal disputes, and regulatory matters that impact Music on YouTube and YouTube Music.

In this position, you'll collaborate with clients across various product areas, including Marketing, Business Development, Business Affairs, and Product, to address commercial agreements and business strategies related to intellectual property rights. You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of our team and its processes.

We're seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of copyright law, licensing agreements, and commercial contracts. Your ability to communicate fluently in English and review contracts in local Asian languages will be valuable assets in this role.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 4 years of experience working with commercial contracts in a non-attorney role. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently within stringent deadlines are essential.

About the Role

  • Draft and manage music licensing agreements, statements of work, and other intellectual property agreements.
  • Review and summarize agreement terms to ensure compliance with company policies and risk tolerance.
  • Communicate complex legal concepts to business teams and advise on legal issues and risks associated with commercial agreements.
  • Manage and improve current team processes to increase efficiency and develop new processes as needed.

Responsibilities:
