Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to provide proactive security measures and incident response activities for our organization's systems, applications, and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs to detect and respond to potential security incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits on systems, applications, and networks to identify indicators of compromise and emerging threats.
• Develop and implement effective security policies, procedures, and best practices to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain and manage security tools and technologies such as SIEM systems, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions to ensure optimal performance and effectiveness.
• Document and report security incidents, risks, and remediation actions to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field with relevant certifications (e.g. CC, CEH, CompTIA Security+).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role with expertise in monitoring, incident response, risk management, compliance, and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices (NIST, ISO27001, ASD E8).
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus solutions, and vulnerability scanners.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills to assess and respond to complex security incidents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity developments.
