About the Role

RMIT University's English Language Worldwide (REW) program is seeking casual English language instructors to join our team. As a casual English language instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language classes to students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver English language classes to students in a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the English language program
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., English, Education, Linguistics)
  • Recognized TESOL qualifications
  • Experience in teaching English as a second language, both face-to-face and online
  • Current Working with Children Clearance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or Education
  • Experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes
  • Knowledge of digital curriculum and assessment design
