About the Role

RMIT University's English Language Worldwide (REW) is seeking casual English language instructors to join our team. As a casual English language instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language classes to students, providing a supportive learning environment, and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver English language classes to students, using a range of teaching methods and materials
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and colleagues
  • Contribute to the development of our curriculum, including the design and delivery of new courses and programs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. English, Education, Linguistics)
  • Recognized TESOL qualifications
  • Experience teaching English as a second language, preferably in a university or college setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
