About the Role

RMIT English Worldwide (REW) is seeking casual English language teachers to join our team. As a casual English language teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language classes to students, with the support and guidance of our experienced team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality English language classes to students
  • Work collaboratively with the REW team to achieve academic goals
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
  • Contribute to the development of the REW curriculum
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or Diploma in a relevant field
  • Recognised TESOL qualifications
  • TESOL experience, both face-to-face and online
  • Current Working with Children Clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across a range of levels and programs
  • Demonstrated ability to use a range of applications to design and deliver effective digital learning and teaching content in online and blended contexts
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound organisational, administrative and time management skills to enable satisfactory completion of teaching-related tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Well-developed understanding of current teaching, learning and assessment theory and practice
Desirable
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes leading to direct entry to university courses, both online and face-to-face
  • Offshore TESOL experience
  • Teacher training experience
  • Qualifications at post-graduate diploma level or higher in Applied Linguistics, TESOL or Education
  • Qualifications and experience in digital curriculum and/or assessment design and development
