Job Title: Venue and Functions Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Venue and Functions Coordinator to join our events team. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the setup and operations of functions and events at our function centres, as well as other events where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPPORT THE SETUP AND OPERATION OF FUNCTIONS AND EVENTS AT OUR FUNCTION CENTRES AND OTHER EVENTS AS REQUIRED.
  • PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ENSURE A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL CLIENTS.
  • ASSIST WITH CASH HANDLING, CLEANING, ROOM SET UP, STAGE SETUP, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
  • WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A DYNAMIC TEAM ENVIRONMENT AND BE AVAILABLE TO WORK FLEXIBLE HOURS DURING THE WEEK AND ON WEEKENDS.

Requirements:

  • MINIMUM 12-MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE.
  • HOLD A CURRENT FIRST AID CERTIFICATE.
  • BE CERTIFIED IN RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL (RSA).
  • HAVE SOLID WORKING EXPERIENCE IN CASH HANDLING, CLEANING, ROOM SET UP, STAGE SETUP, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
  • HAVE A STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF AND/OR EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITALITY (FOOD AND BEVERAGE) OPERATIONS INCLUDING FRONT OF HOUSE, KITCHEN, AND BAR.
  • BE ABLE TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A DYNAMIC TEAM ENVIRONMENT.

  • THE SALARY IS ACCORDING TO BLACKTOWN CITY COUNCIL'S ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT.
  • ENTRY LEVEL FOR THIS POSITION STARTS AT $35.9083 PER HOUR PLUS 25% CASUAL LOADING.
  • PENALTY RATES APPLY FOR WEEKEND SHIFTS.
