Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulator Technician to join our team. As a Simulator Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex assignments in office, on site, field, and laboratory settings. Your duties will include solving a variety of complex simulator and/or aircraft systems problems.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems. You will also assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.

Your role will involve utilizing a maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities. You will train technicians in basic skills and provide technical training for other technicians.

You will be required to complete all designated training activities and actively pursue continued professional growth and training.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A 2-year technical degree or equivalent training is required.
  • You must have a minimum of 5 years direct simulator experience, with at least 3 years at the same location.
  • Proficiency with all types of test equipment is essential.
  • You must be proficient with software diagnostics and utilities on at least one type of simulator.
  • Troubleshooting skills are necessary.
  • Ability to analyze and research hardware modifications and upgrades is required.
  • You must be able to assist engineering with modifications, design changes, and software updates.
  • Developing and delivering technical training is an important aspect of this role.
  • Proven expertise in at least one major simulator system (motion, visual, aircraft systems, etc.) is essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required.
  • Fluency in English is necessary.
