About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Associate with 5+ years of experience in corporate and commercial law to join our prestigious Corporate & Commercial team in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on transformative matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raisings, corporate restructures, and commercial contracts.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage key transaction documents, including sale and purchase agreements, disclosure materials, and governance agreements.
  • Scope, plan, and conduct due diligence with a strategic and meticulous approach.
  • Provide commercially astute advice to a diverse client base, from startups to ASX-listed companies and large unlisted entities.
  • Mentor and manage junior lawyers, fostering their development and ensuring effective team resource allocation.
  • Drive client relationships through direct engagement and tailored, results-focused solutions.
Requirements:
  • A quality lawyer with 4+ years of experience in a reputable corporate and commercial practice.
  • Skilled in drafting and negotiating transaction documents and commercial contracts, with experience in governance agreements and corporate advisory work.
  • A strategic thinker with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of delivering technically sound and commercially focused advice.
  • A natural leader with strong project and relationship management skills, comfortable working autonomously and mentoring junior colleagues.
