About the Role

As a Deputy Principal, you will play a crucial role in leading the school community to develop and implement a shared educational vision focused on delivering quality learning outcomes for all students.

You will assist the Principal in driving the school's mission and values, while maintaining a culture of excellence and innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to embed socially just practices in daily school life, set high standards for student and staff performance, engage in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development, and form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.

  • Develop and articulate a shared educational vision that aligns with the school's goals and objectives.
  • Deputise for the Principal and take on leadership responsibilities as required.
  • Embed socially just practices in all aspects of school life, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance, ensuring that everyone is working towards achieving their full potential.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in education.
  • Form partnerships with stakeholders to build strong relationships and promote collaboration.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others. You will also need to possess a strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation, as well as experience in leading teams and managing change.
