As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that make a real difference.

This role offers the chance to plan, design, and model traction power solutions that support strategic investment in future rail assets.

You'll be part of a team known for technical excellence and collaborative culture. From business case development to delivery, you'll contribute to complex projects across local, interstate, and international networks supporting clients throughout the entire asset lifecycle and helping them achieve best-for-value outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and coordinating traction power systems and infrastructure
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, feasibility studies, and protection studies
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Engaging in AC/DC traction electrification design and substation design
  • Mentoring junior engineers and managing design packages and teams
  • Contributing to tender proposals and understanding client requirements
  • Applying HV/LV earth grid design principles and safety standards

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics or Power Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in detailed traction power supply engineering design
  • Strong background in High Voltage and Low Voltage systems, including earth grid design
  • Experience with Sydney Trains and/or Transport for NSW projects
  • Proficiency in software such as PSCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, DiaLux, Opentrak, OpenPowerNet (preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of IEC/EN/ASA/AS/AMB standards
  • Site exposure on traction electrification works (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage scope effectively
