Traction Equipment Technician

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with our team of skilled technicians in maintaining and repairing traction equipment on our rail fleet. As a Traction Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, and making any necessary repairs or adjustments.

You will perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on traction motors, generators, and other related equipment, as well as respond to emergency situations when they arise. You will work closely with colleagues from various departments to ensure that all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting and servicing traction motors, generators, and other related equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks and responding to emergency situations
  • Collaborating with colleagues from various departments to ensure smooth operation of the fleet
Requirements
  • Educational qualification in electrical trade or heavy engineering
  • Experience in electrical maintenance or heavy engineering
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
