We seek an experienced Retail Centre Manager to drive a portfolio of 9 neighbourhood centres with a combined NLA of circa 43,000 sqm and 147 tenants. The successful candidate will lead a team and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver upon key performance indicators for the client.

The role involves overseeing functions including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, retail lease compliance, debt management, retail store liaison, marketing strategy, and event execution. You will ensure staff and contractors work in proper efficient environments, prepare relevant documentation, collect rentals and outgoings, and implement the centres' Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure staff and contractors work in proper efficient working environments, adhering to occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Prepare all relevant documentation as required, in accordance with leasing policies.
  • Collect rentals, outgoings, turnover rental, promotion levies, tenant electricity, and any other tenant recoverable by the due date specified in the lease.
  • Ensure constant understanding of any arrears and aggressively act to reduce these.
  • Prepare and implement the centres' Business Plan, income and expenditure budget, and additional client reporting as required.
  • Be fully conversant with all relevant legislation relevant to property.
  • Liaise with owners' solicitors regarding standard documentation.
  • Ensure an ongoing fit-out upgrade program is in place, and support is provided to clients and/or their consultants' retail design teams to facilitate tenant fit-out works.

  • Advanced team leadership with demonstrated high emotional intelligence and intellectual quotient, passionate about growth and development of people.
  • Proven experience as a Retail Centre Manager.
  • Collaborative and inclusive mindset to work with multiple stakeholders with values of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
  • Strategic visioning to add value to the bottom line.
  • Senior level with strong financial acumen.
  • Desirable advanced understanding of retail leasing to support the leasing manager and asset strategy.
