HSEQ Specialist

 

We are seeking an experienced HSEQ specialist to join our Sydney-based construction project management team.

 

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement site-specific health, safety, and quality plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to provide guidance on best practices and industry standards.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills in areas such as emergency procedures, workers compensation, injury management, and health promotion.
  • Monitor and report on HSEQ performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Support and coordinate incident investigations and near-miss reporting.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a HSEQ role within a construction or refurbishment environment.
  • Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Practical knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols.
  • Understanding of workers compensation, injury management, and health promotion principles.
  • Experience in developing and conducting training sessions.
  • Track record in providing inspirational leadership and change management.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
