Fire and Rescue NSW Technical Advisor

As a key member of the Fleet Project Unit, you will provide technical expertise to support the delivery of the major and minor fleet capital program of works. This will involve managing allocated projects for the acquisition and/or modification of firefighting vehicles, including the management of project-based teams and coordination of resources.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical, operational design and regulatory expertise to support the delivery of the fleet capital program.
- Manage allocated projects, including the management of project-based teams and coordination of resources.
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and implement control measures as required.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
- Relevant qualifications within the vehicle maintenance/repair industry.
- A valid Heavy Rigid Vehicle driver licence.
- Proven experience in managing complex fleet capital projects with competing priorities.
- Extensive experience in technical, operational design and scoping of builds of a wide range of specialist heavy vehicles, fleet and associated plant and equipment.
