Procurement Strategist
Overview:
The Procurement Strategist is a key member of the management team responsible for developing and implementing material cost reduction programs to support financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic supplier partnerships to achieve long-term savings and quality improvements.
- Manage all buying activities for bought-in products, including hands-on procurement for strategic suppliers and categories.
- Lead negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
- Develop and implement a consistent approach to cross-functional supply chain analysis, driving alignment and consistency.
- Establish and implement metrics to measure departmental and supplier performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Purchasing or related experience in planning, sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain.
- Exceptional negotiation expertise.
- Strong organisational, project management, and communication skills.
- Able to collaborate and work well with others at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
