Service Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Planner to join our team at A.I.R Recruitment. As a Service Planner, you will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating service requests, creating and assigning job schedules to the team, and monitoring the progress, quality, and profitability of all jobs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and coordinate service requests to ensure efficient execution of all service jobs.
  • Create and assign job schedules to the team, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor work in progress, follow up on parts orders, and ensure the efficient execution of all service jobs.
  • Plan and execute service orders/notifications, involving customers and ensuring prompt scheduling and processing.
  • Work closely with customers to gather additional requirements and schedule accordingly.
  • Create purchase requisitions for spare parts, hire equipment, and other goods and services as required.
  • Record and monitor equipment under repair in the workshop and arrange for collection and delivery to customers.
  • Assist in the preparation of parts for service jobs by withdrawing and delivering parts as required.
  • Monitor manhours and productivity captured against budget to ensure productivity level and projected profitability.
  • Ensure all service jobs are correctly recorded and submitted in the system.
  • Control and maintain customer site induction registers for operatives.
Requirements:
  • Trade-qualified as an Electrician/Mechanical Fitter or in a Business-related discipline preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience in a service-related position.
  • Demonstrated experience working with various computer systems and programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Ability to plan work effectively.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • A highly motivated self-starter.
