The Perigon Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Manager to lead the management of cash and assets within our organization.

About the Role:

This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment, overseeing the administration of accounting policies, maintenance of established systems, procedures, and controls.

As a Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in delivering periodic, quarterly, and annual business results to the senior leadership team. You will also develop, innovate, and implement system solutions that enhance the control framework, increase automation, and improve data and reporting for asset and loss prevention and cash control functions.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Accounting Policy Administration: Assist in administering accounting policy and maintaining established systems, procedures, and controls.
  • Financial Reporting: Support and assist the Financial Controller in delivering periodic, quarterly, and annual business results to the senior leadership team.
  • System Development: Develop, innovate, and implement system solutions that enhance the control framework, increase automation, and improve data and reporting for asset and loss prevention and cash control functions.
  • Cash Balance Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of cash balance sheets.
  • Reconciliation: Ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and that unusual variances are investigated promptly.
  • New Revenue Collection: Integrate and embed new revenue collection and sales channels into underlying accounting & reconciliation systems, concerning accounting & internal policies.
  • Annual Audits: Prepare annual audits and financial ratio calculations.
  • Audit Liaison: Liaise with external auditors on controls for cash control and loss prevention.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in accounting and auditing. The ideal candidate will have:

  • External or Internal Auditing Background: A proven track record in auditing or a related field.
  • Qualifications: University qualifications and CA/CPA certification.
  • Knowledge of Debits and Credits: Strong understanding of debits and credits, essential for this role.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of overall accounting experience.
  • Team Leadership: Experience training, supervising, and/or mentoring teams.
  • Commercial Experience: Advantageous to have experience working within a commercial business.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
