We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional to lead the growth of our Siemens PLM Software business in Australia's Defence industry.

As a key member of our Software sales team, you will be responsible for handling and executing consultative and value-added software sales engagements with Defence industry customers. You will work closely with customers and prospects to develop and execute cohesive customer sales strategies, drive software sales, and contribute to the development of financially quantified value propositions and business cases.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of sales experience in the Defence industry, with a validated sales record of at least 5 years. They will also possess excellent business acumen, negotiation skills, and attention to detail. A graduate degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. You will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible working arrangements, career growth opportunities, and professional development support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve target Defence industry customer engagement
  • Provide forecasts and planning information via CRM
  • Analyse customer markets, strategy, position, and needs
  • Evaluate specific business opportunities and prepare customer contacts
  • Build and maintain a customer-focused network to develop customer and industry sector expertise
  • Negotiate projects and proposals with other involved professionals and management
  • Coordinate the realization of assignments and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects, or services programs
  • Maintain commercial relationships and complete sales and revenue-related key reporting
  • Contribute to the development of a customer-needs-focused After Sales Service

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship and residency in Australia
  • Graduate degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of software sales experience in the Defence industry
  • Excellent business acumen, negotiation skills, and attention to detail
