About the RoleWe are seeking individuals with a professional background in Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Parramatta NSW. In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, working closely with a strong team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Case management, including manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants;
- Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
- Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
- Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
- Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
- Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
- Completing assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy;
- Registration with AHPRA or ESSA, plus SIRA Accreditation;
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
- Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role;
- Well-developed time management skills are necessary to manage a caseload and meet deadlines;
- A current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance are required.
