Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bell Attendant to join our team at Marriott Hotels. As a Bell Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort guests to their rooms, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property, providing a safe and secure environment.
  • Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
  • Identify and explain room features to guests, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their accommodations.
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting guests with loading/unloading luggage.
  • Supply guests with directions, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their surroundings.
  • Arrange transportation (e.g., taxi cab, shuttle bus, limousine/sedan service) for guests/visitors, and record advance transportation requests as needed.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient parking experience.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining a high level of presentation and attention to detail.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and thanking them with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards, ensuring a high level of service and quality.
  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print), maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog), ensuring a high level of agility and flexibility.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift, maintaining a high level of energy and endurance.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance, maintaining a high level of physical ability and strength.
  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps, ensuring a high level of agility and flexibility.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, maintaining a high level of physical ability and strength.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors, ensuring a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
