Support Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support professional to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support services to students and staff. This includes coordinating with teachers to develop student routines, supporting communication between teachers and parents, and communicating with students to facilitate their understanding of basic tasks and information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing routine support plans for students in collaboration with teachers.
  • Providing medical intervention support to students under specific conditions and with appropriate training and guidance.
  • Offering specialized communication support to students and teachers in areas such as AUSLAN and braille.
  • Assisting with the coordination of educational programs and providing guidance and support to other student support staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support services.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as education support or disability studies.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Knowledge of Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN) and braille is highly desirable.
