We are looking for support workers in Frankston.

WE Elevate Support Care is an NDIS registered Disability Services provider operating across Victoria and is urgently hiring casual support workers for our clients living in the South-Eastern Suburbs and surrounding areas in Victoria.

WE Elevate support care provides flexible and consistent rostered hours every week. This position will see you providing practical, physical, and emotional support to people with disabilities in a home or residential setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to impact and empower people to maximise their independence positively. It allows you to work with a range of clientele, enhancing your knowledge and level of expertise.

Qualifications and Compliances:

- Minimum Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or Mental Health or other relevant qualifications will be desirable but not essential
- NDIS worker's screening check is a must before the commencement
- Current Victorian driver's license
- Working with Children’s Check
- NDIS Covid 19 certification - Infection prevention and control for Covid 19
- Certificate of Completion of NDIS Modules:

- Worker Module Orientation
- Supporting Effective Communication
- Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals
- New Worker NDIS Induction Module
- Vaccination Certificate - Proof of complete vaccination
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Right to work in Australia
- Medication certificate

Experience and Skills:

- Passion for learning and compassion towards people with disability
- Experience with challenging behaviours and complex trauma will be highly regarded
- Able to work with limited supervision and in a team environment
- Demonstrated safe work practices
- Availability of minimum 2-3 shifts per week, including nights and sleesleepoverfts
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
- Understanding of restrictive practices will be highly regarded

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have demonstrated experience providing support to participants with complex behaviour and have the following skills and attributes:

- Experience with highly challenging behaviours
- Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish a professional relationship with participant and their families
- Experience in mental health
- Flexibility to work rosters and the availability to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required
- Experienced with high physical/medical support
- Attention to detail and accuracy in the record management
