Regional Power Transmission Business Development Specialist

As a highly regarded market leader in power transmission products and solutions, we are seeking a dynamic sales professional to lead our Asia Pacific business development efforts. This role will involve developing a sales strategy for the region, establishing and maintaining relationships with key distributors, OEMs, and special accounts, and providing exceptional customer support.

About the Role
  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan for the Asia-Pacific region, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, OEMs, and special accounts
  • Provide exceptional customer support, including product training, order management, and configuration assistance
  • Identify new markets and geographies for expansion, and establish new channel partnerships
  • Prepare and submit regular business activity reports, sales forecasts, and revenue projections for the Asia-Pacific region
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a thorough understanding of customer business needs and identify opportunities for growth
  2. Make regular sales visits to customer locations to provide product training, support, and guidance
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives
  4. Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline, and project opportunities
  5. Proactively participate in trade shows and conferences to develop business relationships and opportunities
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic engineering or trade qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • 5 years' prior industry-related sales/business development experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and relationship development abilities
  • High technical aptitude with a mechanical bias, power transmission experience highly desirable
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • High level of accountability, integrity, and transparency
  • Experienced in effectively managing project timelines, pipeline, budgets, and customer expectations
  • Highly self-motivated, willing to travel, and eager to develop in your career

This is a home-based/field-based position with regular travel both interstate and internationally.
